Meet Tanya

I first picked up a camera nearly a decade ago—and I still find the joy it brings me to be unmatched. From the once-in-a-lifetime moments I get to witness and document to the close friendships I develop with my clients—I love the incredible opportunities this art form offers and the constant curiosity it inspires in me.

Ten years behind the camera has given me unparalleled technical expertise—but, above all, it's taught me how to capture emotion and expand on the idea of what fine art wedding photography can be.

ABOUT

My experience has taught me how to anticipate moments to capture once-in-a-lifetime images.

Whether I'm directing a first look in the pouring rain or wrangling extended family members, I have yet to meet a moment I wasn't prepared for. I have a deep appreciation for organization and a propensity for backup plans (and backup-to-the-backup-plan plans)—and I pride myself on acting as my clients' advocate, friend, and expert throughout our entire journey together.

Above all, I aim to capture honest, emotional images with expert intention and unfettered spirit.

My Philosophy:

The principles that guide my business:

At the core of my photography experience is an unwavering commitment to my clients. From my easy accessibility and endlessly organized process to my calming presence on the day of—I pride myself on my elevated client experience and the lasting relationships I form with the couples I serve.

Here for you
and yours.

I am a storyteller at heart, and my passion is telling the story of a wedding day through my images. When all is said and done, the gallery I share with you will be spirited, stunning and rooted in real-life moments you can feel. My galleries weave the details, emotions and portraits together into a cohesive story.

Storytelling as art.

As a wedding photographer, I live for the little things that bring a moment to life. Whether styling a wardrobe, developing a timeline, or fine-tuning a gallery, I have a deep appreciation—and a honed eye—for the details.

Celebrating the small things.

Personal Note

 On a

I grew up in Virginia, went to middle school in Armenia, attended high school in Russia, and met my future husband in Colorado before graduating from the University of Virginia. I married an Air Force pilot, and his career took us to Korea (twice), Arizona, California, Delaware, and Texas. I guess you could say that travel has always been a big part of my life!

Along the way, we had two children, Liam and Isla. They will always be my favorite subjects. Family time is my favorite time, so when I'm not behind the camera you can usually find me cheering on my kids at a baseball or soccer game.
